who are we?
Who are we?
The Anthony family have farmed in and around the Bridgend area for generations. Dogs have always been at the heart of the family, be it working sheepdogs or pets – they are all precious to us and are a massive part of our family.
We currently have seven lovely dogs of our own. Our precious Pickle (pictured below) was a rescue from Dogs Trust, she sadly crossed Rainbow Bridge in 2023. You might recognise her as she was the inspiration for our logo.
We truly understand that many of our lovely canine buddies will have their own little quirks and issues and often would benefit greatly from a safe area where they can play, explore and relax without the stress of coming into contact with other people, dogs or hazards.
With so many areas locally having on-lead restrictions in place, our freedom fields will give your dog a legitimate area to truly become Unleashed and follow their nose to their heart’s content.
Our facility will also reduce the stress for owners who also do not wish to mix and socialise with others.
Why not bring a cuppa and a biscuit and relax with your faithful friend in the beautiful countryside whilst being close to nature.
It is so important that dogs are allowed to run free, play sniff and in general... be dogs. We also understand that many dogs cannot be walked safely 'Off Lead' for a variety of reasons. Some dogs are very anxious around other people or dogs, some are rescue dogs and need time to build the bond and recall required to be off the lead.
We know what it's like to have "escape artist dogs". Dogs that will chase things, dogs that will try to run home when anxiety gets too much. Sometimes it's the owners who can't walk far so letting their dogs visit a space like ours will allow your dog all the exercise that they otherwise cannot manage.
This is why we have created Dogz Unleashed Freedom Fields. A choice of two fully enclosed fields, that dog owners can book for exclusive use for 60 mins at a time. (field time 50 mins, 5 mins to get paws washed, & 5 mins to return to the car and vacate car park).
There are separate off-road car park areas for each field. Fresh water & drinking bowls are available in both fields. There are sandpits for those who like to dig – please don’t let your little miners dig our fields though. We have a lid on the sandpits should you prefer your pooch didn’t play in the sand. During summer months a paddling pool for them to dip their paws in will be available.
We have purposely let the grass in some of the areas of the fields grow long, for those dogs that love to ‘work’ to have a good truffle through and pick up on exciting scents
Located near the car park areas are doggie paw & muddy boot wash facilities.
CCTV is installed for extra security and peace of mind.
Pickle’s Cwtch and Joseph’s Snug are bespoke, purpose built inclement weather viewing shelters with seating. So whatever Mother Nature decides to throw at us, you can sit in comfort whilst the fur kids burn off their energy. You will find both human and doggie first aid kits in them too.
fun for all…
We ask that users pick up any dog poo and put it in the bin provided or take it away with you.
